My name is Rachel Kirk and I live near Bromsgrove, Worcestershire with my family. I have worked for many years in large corporations in a wide variety of industries (construction materials, aerospace, local government and wine making!) where I have built up extensive experience which I now want to share with small businesses.
I left my previous role (where I had worked for nearly 8 years) due to a restructure and have decided that the knowledge and best practices that I have learnt can be used to great effect with small businesses too. A large part of my career has been spent supporting non-finance people with managing their budgets and financial records and my friendly manner will hopefully take some of the mystery and confusion around keeping your records up to date as efficiently as possible.
I have been a Chartered Management Accountant since 2003 and am now also a ‘Member in Practice’ of CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). This means that CIMA will monitor that I am compliant with their rules of practicing, such as holding professional indemnity insurance, having correct paperwork, compliance with current HMRC month laundering regulations, and that I undertake continuing professional development.
